SUPERFRAU DEBUTS UPCYCLED CERTIFICATION AT EXPO WEST

Superfrau is among the first brands in the world to boast an Upcycled Food Certification. Upcycled food is the easy way for anyone to prevent food waste via the products they buy. Upcycled products prevent food waste by creating new, high quality products out of surplus food. It’s an innovative approach to food waste because it is the first consumer product-based solution, making it highly scalable and economically sustainable. Developed by the Upcycled Food Association, the mark highlights upcycled ingredients and products procured and produced with surplus food or food by-products from manufacturing, that use verifiable supply chains and have a positive impact on the environment. The Upcycled Certified™ Program is the first third-party certification program for upcycled food ingredients and products. The on-package mark will help retailers feature upcycled products on shelf, and indicates to consumers which products are Upcycled Certified™, providing the opportunity to prevent food waste with every purchase. Superfrau will be featured at the Upcycled Food Association’s Booth #5384 (Hall E) in Anaheim, California at this year’s Natural Products Expo West and will be sampling their innovative product there on Friday, March 11th from 2-2:45pm.
