Once Again Nut Butter Doubles Peanut Butter Production

Information

Nunda, NY – To meet the growing demand for its peanut butter spreads, Once Again Nut Butter has added a second Bühler roaster to its dedicated peanut butter facility. The new roaster will double Once Again’s peanut butter capacity, while also allowing the team to run regular trials to further increase production and efficiency going forward. The company is also adding additional storage for raw peanuts and transfer equipment for the new roaster. Opened in 2016, Once Again’s SQF Certified, 37,000 square-foot peanut facility was designed by its employee-owners to both produce its retail lineup of nut butters and meet the needs and growing demand from industrial and foodservice customers. Its tree nut and seed butters, along with honey products, are produced in a separate facility nearby. In addition to undergoing constant external audits, Once Again has a robust quality assurance program and state-of-the-art laboratories to monitor internal practices, food safety and food quality. Everything in the peanut facility is stainless steel, and the room is laid out so that a total wet wash can be done. This is just one example of the unprecedented plant protocols Once Again has in place for cleanliness. Available in organic and natural options, Once Again’s peanut butters start with ethically sourced peanuts that are dry roasted until they reach their peak flavor, then naturally milled to create wonderfully rich-tasting nut butters. The products are free of added oils, with the exception of Once Again’s organic no-stir peanut butter, which contains responsibly sourced, RSPO Certified organic palm oil for stabilization. The products are sold in 16oz recycled glass jars and squeeze packs, plus 5lb, 9lb and 35lb bulk tubs.
